A. Power clean: build to 1RM = 180; 2' rest; then 8 min AMRAP @ 90% (160) = 15 reps
WU then 3@125, 2@145, 1@165-175-180-185(f). My power clean PR is 185, couldn't hit that today (haven't hit more than 175 since surgery, so 180 was a post-op PR). 175 and 180 were UGLY - I was splaying my legs out instead of dropping under the bar. My pull is plenty high, I just need to get under it. Feel really good about the AMRAP - it was hard, but most reps were better form than my max efforts. B. I wasn't able to do the programmed 20' AMRAP - I had to train someplace that doesn't have wall ball options. I did a different workout that a friend was doing:
For time:
100 pullups
100 KBS (16)
100 DUs
100 OSH (65)
Finished in 18:37, didn't feel great (my shoulders were a bit smoked from Thursday's bench and ring dips).
My gym situation was still in transition this week. Ultimately, I made a very tough decision to leave Brickwall and move to a different gym. I'll be starting full time at the new gym this coming week, hopefully everything will be a bit smoother but I am still figuring out long-term training plans.
