A. 3 attempts max distance HS walk = 60'
All 3 = 60 feet, which is the furthest I could walk in the gym without turning around. First go I simply finished when I hit the end of the gym, 2nd and 3rd I tried to turn but couldn't quite pull it off. 60' is a distance PR for me by about 10 feet, HS walks are not my best skill. All three walks felt really solid - legs straight for most of the walk. Practiced turns after and was able to do a couple.
B. Push press: build to 1RM = 155
WU then 3@ 125, 3@135, 1@145-155, then failed 165 twice. I hit 160 on this lift about 3 weeks ago, which was a 10lb PR at the time, so today I went for 165 but just didn't have it. Push press is hit or miss - sometimes my dip and drive feel very disconnected, I lose the power from my legs. C. Weighted pullup: build to 1RM = 65.3lb
WU then 20kg, 24kg (video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cq0EhriNuMA), 24kg+5lb, 24kg+10lb, 24kg+12.5lb, then failed 24kg+15lb (got bar to about nose level but couldn't get the chin above). I love pullups ;) Thought I had video of the last two but something went wrong :(
D. Strict HSPUs: 2xAMRAP w/ 60" rest = 8, 5
This went WAY better than expected - strict HSPUs are by far my weakest gymnastic movement; there have been recent sessions where I struggled to hit even 1 rep at full depth. 8 unbroken is a PR for me. I probably had 1-2 more in that set but I was worried about bombing out on set 2. Videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LJ1hwNAFQ1Y, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BPLDZB8iGoY
E. 15x5 unbroken C2B = 5:01
WOOF. C2B can be hit/miss for me, specifically with butterfly. Some days they are ON, others my rhythm is just off. Today was mixed - some sets were great, others not so much.
Finished with foam rolling, stretching, and some super easy Airdyne.
