GT W3D1

A. Strict Press; 2-4 Reps; rest 2:30 x 5 sets

Meh, not a great day. My shoulders felt like they didn't have any power in them. Did 4 @ 85-90-95, then only got 3 @ 100, and then only managed 1 @ 105 :( Not every day can be progress, I guess. Just felt weak today, not sure why as things felt recovered - nothing sore - just not strong.

B1. Strict Pull Ups; 7-9 reps; rest 15s
B2. Strict HSPU; 3 reps; rest 15s
B3. Upright ring hold *hold yourself at the top of a ring dip*; 30s; rest 2 minutes x 5 sets

Strict press issues carried over into the HSPUs somewhat. Pullups were fine - 9 reps each set. But HSPUs went 3-3-2/1-3-2/fail. Blah. Again, shoulders just didn't feel like they had any oomph, it was hard to get them locked in and solid feeling. Didn't get video - forgot my phone at home that morning, just kind of a rough start to the day I guess...

C1. DB Pull overs; 10 reps; Rest 30s
C2. Reverse flies; 10 reps; rest 30s
C3. Ring Rows; 10 reps; rest 2 minutes x 5 sets

Done @ 35lb for pullovers, 12lb for flies.

OVERALL: Not really sure what my deal was. Felt kind of mentally scattered, just one of those days, I suppose. Everything - physically and mentally - just felt off.

  1. 3 @ 100 is still super solid. I'm sure our arms were fatigued at this point, and like you said, we can't PR everyday. Definitely still got in some solid work and friendly reminder - it is week 3 (peak volume week)!
