Cycle 3 Deload Continues

A. Alternating EMOM 20 Minutes:
1st: 20s Sled Push - moderate load - steady/constant effort
2nd: 2 Strict HSPU + 2 Strict Pull Ups

Done @ 350lb total sled weight, which was challenging but able to keep constant movement throughout. Biggest issue was the extra effort/time to turn the sled every set! HSPUs went well - 2 solid reps every time, only a couple that felt "grindy."

Rest 10 Minutes

B. Alternating EMOM 20 Minutes:
1st: 20s Sled Pull - moderate load - steady/constant effort
2nd: 2 Squat Clean @ 115lbs + 1 Muscle Up

Done @ 225lb total sled weight. We don't have a good setup for pulls (no long rope) so I used a strap system and had to adjust a couple times during each pull so I add 5s total, still managed to keep fairly constant tension. Squat cleans actually felt really easy - 115 is light, of course, but they were touch and go each time and generally unremarkable.

C. 20 Minute mobility
Done with a lot of focus on back/posterior chain after DLing yesterday. Things feel ok.

OVERALL: Felt ok. Tired at end of 1st EMOM but that didn't seem to carry over to the 2nd. No significant soreness from yesterday, which is good.

  1. Sounds like just what we needed. As you stated in your email - hopefully our weight is back up and our energy is normal after the rest of this week. From the looks of today i'd say we are on the right track, 350lbs is heavy for a sled push and solid reps on HSPU is a good sign as well.
