A. Split Jerk; accumulate 12 singles @75-80% 1RM; rest as needed btw reps
Done @ 145, ~60s rest between reps (wasn't trying to rush, about a minute just felt like enough time to be ready to go). Focused on connecting the dip+drive, and speed under. Technique felt good and all reps were super solid.
B. Push Press; 3 reps @ moderate weight; rest 2 minutes x 3 sets
Done @ 125. Again, felt good and technique felt dialed - usually I feel like I don't actually use the power from my legs and end up pressing the bar out too much but these felt better, like my legs were playing their role :)
B1. Strict HSPU; 2 reps; rest 20s
B2. Strict Pull Ups; 3 reps; rest 60s x 5 sets
Done, no issues with HSPUs, pullups easy.
C. 20s amrap toes to bar
10s Rest
20s amrap Deadlift 155
10s Rest
20s amrap burpees
2 minute rest x 3 sets
Results (#reps): 1) 15/12/8, 2) 15/12/9, 3) 15/13/9. Happy with 3 unbroken sets of 15 T2B - those felt good and fast. DLs were the hardest part, I'm not as fast as I should be - partly it's that I don't flirt with that lockout line the way a lot of athletes do, generally I just seem to have a hard time cycling these fast even at light weight. But overall this stuff felt good and I was consistent across sets.
OVERALL: Strong day. Happy to be able to climb well in the afternoon too - the only thing that really wore out was my skin, which is just not used to rough rock anymore! Getting out of town was perfect - I feel recharged and ready for the next cycle, not only physically but mentally.
DL and burpee #s were good too for such a short 'amrap' so don't sell yourself too short on the DL. As I said in the email, glad we are feeling well and ready to hit this next cycle. Let me know if you need anything.
