A. Clean + Clean/Front Squat; 1.1.1; rest 30s/3 minutes x 3 sets *135-140 each set*
Done @ 135-140-145. 145 was hard but I got through it this time, overall felt better than last week. NOTE: Misread it was "135-145 each set" when I wrote it out on a whiteboard.
B. Safety bar box squat; 4 reps; rest 2:30 x 5 sets *160-170lbs here*
Done @ 165-165-165-170-170. Again, felt much stronger than last week (both mentally and physically).
C1. Reverse Hyper; 10 reps @20x1; rest 30s
C2. Strict toes to rings @31X1; 6-8 reps; rest 30s
C3. Jefferson Curl; 8-10 reps w/35lb BB; Rest 2 minutes x 4 sets
Done, same as last week (25lb/10 reps, 8 reps, 10 reps).
D. Medball hamstring curls; 10-12 reps; rest 60s x 4 sets
Done, 12 reps each set.
OVERALL: Good day. Came into it much stronger mentally and it showed. The clean complex was still difficult, more so than I want it to be, but getting a final set @ 145 - 6 total squat reps - is a strong showing for me so I'll walk away happy.
Definite improvement over last week, and that's what we are after. Steady progress will yield a big over-all net gain over time. Happy we are staying healthy as well as hitting big #s.
